The Building Terry campaign closed on June 30th, and I am very proud to report that we raised over $121 million! This far exceeds our ambitious $90 million goal. Our alumni and friends responded generously with unprecedented support to provide the college with state-of-the-art facilities and keep our faculty, students and programs on the forefront of excellence. Thank YOU for making this campaign so successful.
Dan Amos was the consummate campaign leader, valiantly working with the Terry Development team to open doors and inspire alumni of all ages. We had 100% giving participation by Terry’s leadership – Campaign Cabinet, National Campaign Committee, Terry Dean’s Advisory Council, Alumni Board and Young Alumni Board. I sincerely thank them for their dedication, leadership and passion.
During this campaign, we have made new alumni friends, engaged a loyal cadre and fired up a large alumni base that cares deeply about the future of Terry. With construction of Terry’s new home well underway, we will shift our focus to faculty, program and student support to ensure that we continue providing the best educational experience and opportunities for our students. In addition, even with the great success of the Building Terry campaign, there are a number of naming opportunities still available in the Business Learning Community.
The dedication ceremony for Correll Hall will take place alongside the groundbreaking ceremony for Phase II of the Business Learning Community, on September 18th. Please plan to join us and celebrate this milestone.
Great things are happening here at the University of Georgia, and we have YOU to thank for Building Terry. The next issue of the Terry magazine chronicles the many accomplishments of the campaign and the great strides we’ve made in recent years. I hope to see you on September 18th.
